One of the toughest parts about being a Christian, is understanding the importance of being in alignment with God. We need to know where we went off track, we need to know what we don't know or understand our limitations, get in the shop (or the Word) and get it fixed. Once it is repaired, maintenance is the key to keeping it on the road. But you have to count the cost... and repairs are expensive these days, especially to something as important as your soul.

The phrase "take off the old man and put on the new" is a expression that comes scripture. The phrase is a reference to the spiritual transformation that believers are called to undergo when they become followers of Jesus Christ. The "old man" represents a person's former self, before they accepted Christ, characterized by a sinful nature and a way of life that is opposed to God's will.

Paul instructs the believers in Galatians 5:16 to "walk by the Spirit." Sure. Not as easy as it seems. How can I tell whether my acts are inspired by the Spirit or not? When we are not even near to living by the Spirit, we are quite capable of persuading ourselves that we are.

Seeking to know the heart of God is a serious endeavor, as knowing Him will change a person’s entire life. The more a person learns and knows about the Lord, the more he or she will long for Him and declare with the psalmist, ..."As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God."

2,000 years ago, Jesus conquered death forever. The stone was rolled away from the empty tomb, and we were given new life in Christ. Easter might be over, but what it means for us matters all year long. Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, we’re able to access God’s grace, presence, and reassurance like never before.

Unity. It's a word we often throw around in church, but what exactly does it mean to be unified with the people in your church, and how can you foster this sense of unity? We're going to focus on the importance of unity in the church and talk about what you can do to create unity. Each of us has a role to play, and each of us has much to gain from being part of a unified Christian community.
